Treasury & Giveaway Time!

Da daaa! Yes! I made 100 sales on Felt last night, so both Etsy and Felt are now sitting on an equal 100 sales. I first filled my Etsy shelves in March 2009, and Felt in April. I think my work has evolved somewhat since then and continues to shape and form itself. As with any craft or art, we develop a fondness for something we are naturally good at, as we achieve pleasing results time after time, so seek to perfect them.

An old photographer friend of mine once told me to be specialist, not generalist. Choose something and do it well - really well. Of course then I was about to embark on a 4 year Photography degree in Australia, and I do choose photography... moreover, it chooses me. Bookbinding kind of slipped in there as it's something I've always been fascinated with and never really entertained the idea I would actually be doing it.

Now to aim for that 200th sale!

To celebrate, Bibliographica is having a surprise giveaway!! So, you won't know what you're getting, until you win! Here's what you need to do:

1. Comment on this blog post,
2. 'Follow' my blog (unless you already are).

I'll be drawing names next Friday the 24th of September! Good luck all! :)

And while I was writing this post, a treasury popped up with my Sicilia Journal in it! So this is a double deal. I love the monochrome look of this, it reminds me of olde 60s films.

  5. Developing a fondness for what you do and thereby creating art is one of the perks of being an artist and following your passion. It translates into your work, as those of us who are lucky enough to have one of your creations well know! Contragulations on your double 'century' and many more centuries to come!

Candy I have my blog set up so I approve comments before I publish them - that's why you were having trouble. Sorry about that! It's so I can delete one if someone says something mean and nasty! ;D

Your books are so unique, made with such inspiration and talent, no wonder I would love to have one for myself :) Congratulations for your double score in Etsy and Felt.
