I've had my antennas out and managed to source this beautiful antique purse. It was coming apart in places, and I decided that rather than save and repair it, I'd let it keep coming apart.
In fact, I'd give it a (gentle) hand.
So now, it's in pieces, and most beautiful pieces might I add. Lots of dust flew about the place, and out came the museum polish for a protective buffer. I found the inside pieces of leather much more desirable than the outers, but there were so many useful pieces that makes this find is a treasure in itself.
The purse measured 12cm x 6.5cm.
I particularly loved these tiny little coin pockets at the front.
So many compartments lined with beautiful rich old crackly leather.
There are some miniature undressed journals waiting for coats;
this I feel shall be included in at least one of them.
