I love making books but also love my raw green eats.
Today after my run, I made a green smoothie. I like them low in sugar, thick and creamy so to eat with a spoon.
Ingredients:
2 kale leaves (stalks removed)
1 teaspoon of raw organic kale powder
1 scoop of Growing Naturals Raw Vegan Protein (I used the chocolate flavour in this one)
1 small zuchinni or courgette
2 teaspoons of Waihi Bush Flax Fiber
pinch or two of cinnamon
a big cup or so of filtered water
lots of ice
YUM
This is filling, sustaining and highly nutritious. No crap, just real food. :) You need a grunty blender to make a good smoothie. I've burnt out so many, I need to get a Vitamix. One day...
And I'm off to walk past the green trees, drive past some more, and get a green book out of the press!

Wow, powerfully deliciously nutritious!!
Yummy! Thanks for including the links to the more "exotic" ingredients :)
It looks delicious--and so simple, too. Will try it out immediately. I don't have kale in the house, will try it with swiss chard.
m.m.m.m.m .... go juice!
You go girl! :o)
the burnt-out blenders are ever so familiar story to me :)
we love our green smooties too. we have a little trusty blender, and carefully give it not so fibrous greens, i usually have to cut out the veins and stalks of tougher greens like kale. but at the moment not much is available in the finnish winter for green drinks, so we make our blends more fruit-based... and parsley-y, baby spinachy and chlorella-y :)
can't wait for the spring and the summer when we can grow stuff!
